It's been a big day in the British energy world.
What's the plan now to stop paying £100,000,000s from energy bills to switch off wind turbines?

@HAWKESarch After all your work, how disappointing that the land owner has now put this plot up for sale. Shame we may never get to see the finished house now - I loved the design. https://t.co/uSdIIbQPO8
@Houseplanhelp Hi Ben, on the podcast I'd like to hear more on ...
1. Use of helical screw piles instead of concrete foundations on new builds, to protect existing trees or sensitive sites.
2. Aerogel insulation in small period stone buildings.
3. Use of photo/thermo-chromic glass.
Cheers
The *big* crane is up. The sun is out. That can only mean one thing. It's time for the first turbine to be lifted into place at Kirk Hill Wind Farm! Stay tuned for all the action as all 8 turbines are constructed over the next few weeks
@Zarch1972 Noticed that Midsummer currently have 8 of these cosmetically-damaged Eurener 340w all-black panels in stock, with dimensions of 1684 x 1002. Would they be close enough for your project?
BREAKING: the White Cliffs of Dover have been illuminated with the UK 'warming stripes' for #ShowYourStripes day!
These stripes represent the UK average temperature from 1884 to 2022 with blue colours for colder years and red colours for hotter years.

Yes, the climate has always changed.
But, the speed of recent change is unprecedented.
More importantly, we understand why.
Burning fossil fuels & deforestation adds carbon dioxide to the atmosphere which warms the planet.
Simple physics. Understood for more than a century.
Wow – what a powerful visual.
Combining the warming stripes with "generational icons" really brings this #ClimateChange data to life and tells a compelling story.

“Let’s not pick winners” and “technology openness” we often hear.
But the status quo already picked winners: fossil fuels.
Too often the existing policy framework is stacked up against clean tech.
Example: taxation of heating fuels.

OK my lovelies, #hydrogen poll time. Two questions, so four possible answers:
1. Have you ever worked with hydrogen (I don't mean school/undergrad)?
2. Would you have hydrogen in your home?
Please explain why in comments. And RT so we get a bigger sample and more discussion.
@TheSolarShed @beesolartech Sorry if I offended you Kevin, it wasn't intended. I've been looking at alternatives to rooftop solar, and this was a genuine question. I've seen several examples of these trackers on twitter and nobody seems to mention the planning permission. 🤷♂️
