Having travelled for years for business, I never understood the absolute insane mark-up on mini-bar fridge food/beverages. It has to be outside the price/volume curve to maximize profitability, right? Like, OK, I know it's convenient so I can accept a minor mark-up, not that your "gift shop" prices aren't already profitable enough. Wouldn't selling said water for $3 in gift shop, $4 in-room increase volume over the $12 in room cost? I'm just going to march down to the lobby instead...and feel your "brand" is a rip-off. Just seems like such a missed opportunity. Or...how about get really crazy, super affordable & reasonable prices on stuff in-room. Wow! "Hotel X" is so good on their in-suite mini-bar prices that we don't even bother bringing our own any more. Volume up & customers have an "unexpected delight" experience.
@DoNotComply23 Rigid (especially brushless) is a step above Ryobi (same company as Milwaukee too, TTI, but Home Depotโs P/L brand) but gets bonus points for lifetime parts warranty & battery replacement. I renovated my entire house with them.
Agreed, I was at the Houston Symphony on Saturday Night, someone (how in the world they got in) had what I will refer to as a โbreak with realityโ as they got up, shouted at the conductor something unintelligible & stormed out. Good on the conductor, he thanked him for his comment & told them they should have stayed for โThe Omen.โ
@AntiDoc If you arenโt doing some form of martial arts, preferably grappling as a regular part of your fitness program, you have a massive hole in your program.
@MrLeadslinger Congratulations, youโll love it. Where I train, you can see the pipeline of dads who bring their kids, then finally decide to try it themselves.
@HandyGingerGal It's amazing to watch from afar. you get an immediate, arrogant & dismissive response asking how DARE anyone question the system. Apparently, 'the system' is to be defended at all costs. We haven't regretted leaving for a single moment.
@glennbeck Ah, Texas Trudeau. Another smarmy creep who is planning to destroy anything and everything he touches, because he 'knows' he's so much smarter than us. Can we please stop with these virtue signaling dilettantes?
@bennyjohnson Can we all agree to use the name Texas Trudeau when referring to Talarico from now on? He has the same smarmy & creepy disposition & is certain to destroy all he touches.
