@PARODY_ELON_ I was surprised by the situation in Taiwan, until their doctor strike I had always assumed that increasing the supply of doctors would bring system cost down. The lack of information in medical markets really blunts market forces.

@PARODY_ELON_ That works for analyzing individual risk. I was more interested in an accurate comparison of system effectiveness. We spend way more for what appears to be worse outcomes, but that measure of outcomes is flawed. Americans 25-29 die at triple the rate of our counterparts.

@PARODY_ELON_ Per capita healthcare spending comparisons with these countries are easy to find. The use of life expectancy as a measure of effectiveness is ineffective. We find all kinds of ways to die early that are unrelated to healthcare, Homicide, car crashes, and overdoses. What’s better?
