Two years later, the adventure ends. Time to catch up with old friends, spend time with my kids, finish Baldur’s Gate, and start listening for the next gig.
Ask me about my team so I can help them find work!
@JeffAHamilton @atduskgreg In that case, if you haven’t checked out dragon quest builders 2, it is weird and wonderful and possibly relevant. Bit of a slog to get through. There’s econ engine build (happy villages) to get aesthetic progression dynamics. Most of this is most clear in the postgame.
@Rangutang @knelson7731 @undeadlabs@jawafawa This text could be a few different things, my guess is this was a stat stub used to derive weapon mods off of and keep their baseline power identical. Minimizing data duplication. Shouldn’t have ever been exported, but bugs happen.
@Rangutang @spaul_gamedev Looking back, we were pretty arbitrary with what constitutes a site. Sure doesn’t feel apples to apples to the player, does it? :D
@neilsclark Thanks man! I'm glad you're enjoying it, a lot of love went into that game, much of it from people I wish all the success in the world to. So far I've been positively thrilled with my new team, both in terms of talent and culture.
Towards the end of last year, I quietly made a career move... and as of today, I can talk about where I went and what I'm doing (sort of!). I'm the lead systems designer on an unannounced survival game over at Blizzard! More info here:
