@Joel7Richardson Rome took the city of Babylon briefly in 115–116 AD during Emperor Trajan's campaigns against the Parthian Empire.
He occupied Mesopotamia, including Babylon & the Parthian capital of Ctesiphon. He found little more than "mounds and stones and ruins" at Babylon site.
