From CNN’s @MarshallCohen and @YahyaGhazala: Detroit mayor’s office says they don’t know what Trump is talking about; spokesman for Detroit elections department says, “We are unaware of any police presence in the city for elections beyond what was outlined in a press conference last Thursday and widely reported nationally.”
NORTH CAROLINA: If you are in line to vote, STAY IN LINE! Anybody who is in line to vote by 7:30 PM is legally allowed to cast their ballot — don’t let anybody tell you otherwise. Races in NC are always close, and it’s going to take ALL of us to ensure victory.
If you’re in line, stay in line. Your voice matters, and your #vote will be counted. Don’t let anything discourage you—hold your place, stand firm, and let’s make sure every voice is heard tonight.
I voted for Kamala Harris. Yes, I want to support women’s rights. But I also want to live in a world where hate speech, xenophobia, and racism are put behind us. Sending every one of you a tidal wave of hope for a better future. Let's all prioritize mental health this week. ❤️
From colleague @holmeslybrand: The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN they were not aware what Trump was referring to and did not know of any issues with voting that required a law enforcement response.
I generally get a whole bunch of “fuck you Joe, you commie bastard, hope you burn in hell” type messages every day. But I’ve been getting A LOT more of these messages the past week or two. A lot more. Which tells me they know things aren’t going their way.
Let’s finish strong.
