@SamsonMKasumba All I have learnt in life is when u get an opportunity to do anything do it
Life is very uncertain ...today u can afford tomorrow u may not ...
With the uncertainty of the future have a home ... if are alive u will still invest life has no pattern
Yesterday, I was honored to attend the 5th successful Bamasaba Kadodi karnival at UMA Showgrounds Lugogo.
It was such an amazing seeing most of us all the way from Mbale turn up in big numbers to cherish and celebrate our indigenous beautiful culture.
Great appreciations to the organizers for coming up with such a great idea that brings us together each year.
In a committee session as the two telecom companies @Airtel_Ug and @mtnug presented a submission on proposal to cut the mobile money withdrawal tax from 0.5% to 0.25%
The two companies suggest that the introduction of the 0.5% levy on Mobile Money withdrawals was not only prohibitive but also made the grass root mobile money penetration and financial inclusion challenging which i agree with as it favors our people in-terms of boosting the digital and cashless payments .
I however challenged the two to keenly improve on their network coverage to all the deep and rural areas more so in Mbale as well as lowering the high data fees.
In the Ugandan syllables why do they teach our economists only the vicious cycle of poverty not the cycle of wealth we need a mind change to attain economic growth
@SpireJim Traders aren’t buying things from china , look for the figures of things being imported , B.O.T hence low demand for the dollar.... We in a voting season
My dad had no idea where my school was until I finished (secondary school). Infact he had no idea what class I was until the last term I was about to take my WAEC.
The funny part is that my mom never for one day used it against him in our presence or even talk about it. The day we asked her why our Dad never came to our school, Her answer was "your dad is trying o, he knows all the teachers in your school, he just don't want you to know because they all report to him anytime you misbehave "
To us, our daddy never cared but we never saw behind the scenes.
He may have never been to our school but he always pays our school fees.
My mom will always cover him up and when she buys things like Television with her money, she will write my dad's name on the receipt.
We saw all that and how we were able to follow up without giving all the credit to my mom was so easy.
And when we started working, we made sure our dad had those things he wished to have years back. I used my first million to get him a land and so did my brother too.
They may not have it all now but at least they now have their own money they can spend without thinking of sharing it for the family needs..
Love is not enough to hold a family, marry a woman that will be your defender when your presence is not there. My mom was my dad's backbone.
Hon. @masabakarim (Mbale Industrial Division) is concerned about the terms of the Shs1.9 trillion loan.
“Over 90% of this loan is for consumption; we are borrowing at 7.3% to consume, which is totally wrong.” #PlenaryUg
