@MatthewMKE98 His first season from the Houston Texans game on I thought he was doing a bunch of different stuff to generate pressures and turnovers and was awesome. He was pretty meh after the Micah trade I thought.
@AaronNagler So why doesn’t the head coach lean into him more? 🤷🏻♂️
Am in total agreement here that Love is the guy. Just doesn’t really feel like the coach coaches like he is.
@smboettch@AndyHermanNFL Yeah. That was still in the old playoff rules where the top 2 teams got byes. They beat Seattle in 2019 and lost the nfc championship. They beat the rams in 2020 and lost to the bucs in the nfc championship. They have never won more than 1 playoff game in a season.
@zacobson This is a good one, but the Javon Bullard near interception vs. Giants where McDuffie just absolutely lays him out and breaks up the pass is what comes to mind for me.
@wendellfp You might see some minor improvement with a new coordinator and voice. But until they find a decent/competent returner, and a kicker that can make meaningful kicks. Expect more of the same.
@AaronNagler I honestly see both sides. The snow games are fun and outdoor winter games are a great aesthetic. But it’s also nice just watching the games play out without dealing with any other elements, like I’m happy to watch JSN today just run his routes without dealing with snow.
@evthered1@AaronNagler The Golden experience in itself is a fireable offense! You literally spammed targets for Bo melton all season while he sat on the bench and/or didn’t get targeted. If Bo melton doesn’t get hurt in the Vikings game, I bet the Matthew golden stuff we saw yesterday doesn’t happen.
@JuMosq He’s never been a great pass rusher. Fans clinged to that quote from the old linebackers coach who said something about pressures being more important than sacks and then a just kept pointing at his pressure numbers as proof to how great he is. He’s never had double digit sacks
@TylerHerrick And he even talked about how it should be a priority! Went into detail about how they have done studies and hall of fame trajectory WRs are worth giving third contracts to. The only thing I can think of is if the Bakhtiari contract/situation scared him away from it.
