Development means absolutely nothing if citizens can't freely speak, assemble, or feel safe exercising their basic rights. A government's first responsibility is to protect the dignity, freedom, and lives of its people. But today we have one that waits for the slightest peovocation to unleash death on its citizens, when all they do is demand accountability and the true representation of their needs from their leaders.
I fully support Sifuna's message on accountability and defending constitutional rights, and the fact that president Ruto should have been out of office as early as yesterday.
Leaders should be judged not only by the roads they build, but by how they treat the people they serve.
