@memawantstruth @HydroOne The Municipality has no authority to enter onto the neighbouring property. I understand that the propnents have permission to enter onto their neighbours property to clear the lines so that hydro can reconnect. The ball remains in their court to solve the problem for themselves.

Our flag has changed over time. First as the Union Jack, then as the Canadian (Red) Ensign. On February 15, 1965 a new flag would be flown to symbolize Canada. Today we commemorate that first flying of our Canadian Flag on this National Flag Day of Canada. #flagday#CanadianFlag
Thanks to @TMHFoundation and @docsbythebay for hosting local doctors and residents at last week's @BellevilleSens game.. some great conversations and a couple of good sales pitches too!!
It was a pleasure to join the Grade 5 Extended French class at Brighton Public School yesterday to discuss local government. I take every opportunity I can to engage with our local schools and youth!

A substantive conversation with @JustinTrudeau. We discussed strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities in the face of threats and risks of escalation at the front. Expressed gratitude for the strong support of 🇺🇦 by 🇨🇦. Agreed on steps to implement the #PeaceFormula
2 shelters were opened across the @Nthld_County on the advice of emergency services to aid with stranded travelers. There are several neighbourhoods without power. If you are able to open your homes to nearby neighbours I would encourage you to do so.
Call 911 for emergencies!
@MunOfBrighton & @Nthld_County have declared a significant weather event. This is done when it becomes clear that more hours for operations will be required to get things back to normal. Crews have done an exceptional job today. Please stay off the roads if possible.
Crews and emergency services are out clearing roads and aiding with accidents. Trees are down throughout the Municipality and will be cleared as soon as it is safe to do so. Please be patient understanding that snow clearing will occur after the trees and debris are cleared.
@DocMCohen I'm very sorry that this is how your day started.. I'm very sorry that it's something you have to even deal with at all.. ever! If there's anything I can do, or we as a community can do, please let me know.

Precisely the worry that this of us who have been fiscally responsible, saving for those projects we know will be needed. Levying appropriate development charges to pay for growth related pressures. Will be punished.
I've heard the Minister say we should empty our DC reserves. As if they are some kind of magical piggy bank that can be used to bring down the cost of housing. As a fmr Mayor, he knows that's not true. DCs are collected to help pay for infrastructure & services for new housing.
So not only does the province expect us to approve housing that won't have any wastewater servicing capacity
They expect us to approve housing without any DCs to help pay for the infrastructure and services needed for new housing.
Sounds like a great plan…
This past Victoria Day long weekend, 5 Brighton Public School students found over $500 while walking downtown. They immediately walked it into the @OPP office. This morning I recognized them for their honesty and integrity. We're raising them up right in Brighton.
