Callie's research & teaching interests include criminology, organizations, and race/ethnicity. Her dissertation is an ethnographic and interview study of gun show organizations, revealing why members perceive these events as safe, socially fulfilling, and economically beneficial.
Yingjian studies labor market inequality through cultural sociology, social networks, and organizational theories. His research examines how individuals remake themselves and their networks to navigate the changing world of work and how such remaking shapes patterns of inequality
