Waleed Khan, 26 of Toronto, who is now charged with terrorism offences, was arrested in August 2025 after trying to kidnap teenage girls at gunpoint.

Police found two loaded prohibited firearms: an AR-15 rifle capable of automatic fire and a pistol, both equipped with prohibited high-capacity magazines, along with over 110 rounds of ammunition.

He was on probation at the time of arrest for prior violent offences and prohibited from possessing firearms. A judge still released him on bail with an ankle monitor.

Today it was revealed he had links to ISIS, they were targeting teenage Jewish girls, and he is being charged with terrorism offences.
