A Boeing 747-481(BCF) freighter (N429MC), @AtlasAirWW 8106, from Anchorage to Miami, crosses a waning crescent Moon over Melbourne, on Florida's Space Coast, this morning, September 6, 2026.

This Queen of the Skies has already lived one whole life before this one. Built in 1990, it spent 18 years flying passengers for All Nippon Airways in Japan, registered JA8095, before Atlas Air converted it to a freighter in 2008. Thirty-six years old now, still working, just hauling cargo instead of people these days.
