Ford Mortors as seed money is interesting. They are nothing like fission however. Much of the fusion they are aiming for is aneutronic which eliminates the harmful radiation that's produced which has traditionally made fusion difficult because radioactive neutrons are extremely difficult to contain. It's a very good thing because now they won't be tied down in DOE and EPA red tape at the federal level. Or nuclear regulations were always extreme and uncalled for but holding up fusion any longer would be more criminal than having hid it for probably 30-45 years.

Spying is a necessary evil but the system we use needs to be reshaped. There's way to much lack of oversight in black programs. But still not one great country, entity or empire in history has been without spy craft, as it is a skill probably as old as prostitution.
