@corte_antonio @GetSpectrum Nobody at Spectrum has any idea there is the largest outage of all time in the Austin area (and for 50 miles in every direction from there). The "bot" asks for your name, account number, and address, but that goes into a black hole. I think Spectrum just went out of business.

@CnnmnSchnpps @metadaddy The 10 MByte boundary was chosen in 2007 when we started, when an upstream consumer connection could be a 256 Kbit/sec DSL line. We wanted something that would complete and not "time out". It should probably be increased (or variable).

@CnnmnSchnpps @metadaddy For any file larger than 100 MBytes, Backblaze Personal Backup breaks the file up into 10 MByte chunks, and hands off each chunk to a different thread. That thread opens the HTTPS connection, sends the chunk, then closes the HTTPS connection.
