AT 8:12 a.m., Carteret-Craven EMC reports 7,803 customers without power along U.S. 70 and N.C. 24 corridors from Morehead City north to Havelock and west toward Carteret-Onslow line. Estimated restoration time according CCEMC webpage is as late as 11:30 a.m.

Carteret-Craven Electric Co-op reports that as of 7:50 a.m. Monday, power has been restored to all but 487 of approximately 4,000 customers affected by a power outage in Emerald Isle and Pine Knoll Shores. As of this time, the company has not said what caused the outage.
