Délicieux.
À écouter en boucle, encore et encore!

@timoassi Happens to me too. My trick is to keep my portfolio simple: a short list of stocks I understand and believe in, then consistently invest every dollar I can afford to put away.
Stop thinking there’s a right time for everything. There isn’t. Just do it. If it doesn’t work, at least you tried. That already puts you ahead of 95% of people who keep waiting, thinking, and making excuses.
And if you have a question, ask it. Say it out loud. Find the answer. Stop overthinking every little thing.
Try. Learn. Adjust. Keep moving.

Canada is aging, our houses are too big, our families are smaller, and retirement savings simply aren't keeping up with the cost of living.
Then every winter, we pack our bags and head south to Florida, Arizona, Texas or Mexico.
I love the snowbird lifestyle, but here's the problem: we're paying for two lives.
A Canadian house sitting empty for five months, a winter rental or second property somewhere warm, two sets of bills and maintenance.
So why not rethink retirement? Think Golden Girls. Four independent adults, four private bedrooms, four private bathrooms, one beautiful house. Share the kitchen, living room, internet, maintenance and the expensive parts of owning a home, while keeping your own space, your own money, your own schedule and your own life.
This isn't a retirement home or assisted living. It's independent living with other people. And the economics are hard to ignore.
Why should one retiree carry the full cost of a roof, furnace, property taxes, internet, driveway and lawn when four people could share them?
Now take that idea and scale it. Take underused Canadian homes, renovate them properly and create comfortable shared living spaces for independent adults who want affordable housing, companionship and the freedom to escape winter.
Imagine a small community with 20 homes, 80 residents, a pool, garden, workshop, gym, café, transportation and shared maintenance, with a sister community somewhere warm for the winter.
Canada in the summer, sunshine in the winter.
That's not a retirement home. That's a lifestyle. And the biggest benefit may not even be financial.
Children leave, spouses pass away, houses become too big and life can become surprisingly quiet. Living independently doesn't have to mean living alone. We need to stop designing retirement around the house we raised our families in and start designing it around the life we actually want to live.
Less house, less overhead, more community, more travel and more freedom.
Don't retire into a house.
Retire into a lifestyle.

Even with the balance staring back at you from your bank statement, you still want to splurge. You tell yourself you deserve it, that this one purchase is for you.
Is it indulgent? Maybe. A little reckless? Possibly.
But you’ve been living on the edge for a while now, and you know it. Deep down, this was never really about the money. You simply wanted to do something for yourself, with no explanation, no guilt, and no one else to consider.
If this feels familiar, please reach out. There are so many resources, supports, and practical tools available to help you regain control of your money without giving up every small joy in your life.

@vonderleyen@MarkJCarney Your policies have devastated Europe, not only financially, but spiritually and culturally as well.
Now, as Europe faces bankruptcy and a profound loss of identity, your ally is helping fuel division and fragmentation across America.
Shame on you both
