Can't wait for our @BridgesRural pilots to launch in January @eddesignlab! @flcc_connects new program will offer people in rural parts of its service area opportunities to build careers in advanced manufacturing w/ flexible learning close to home + centralized support from day 1
"This program, which could become a model for other community colleges to emulate, comes at a time when child care has become an increasingly tough financial and time-management challenge."
โWSCCโs creative brainstorming and partnership building, all with a constant focus on how to serve students who have family responsibilities and low incomes, will make their pilot program more accessible to parent learners in their community."
Our BRIDGESRural cohort teams experienced this first hand over the past year. We cannot design for rural learners without including them in every phase of the design process. #RuralEdForum
"Get to know your students, this goes for lawmakers, teachers, administrators, and parents. Sometimes students know best and have some great ideas when it comes to improvements. Be open to learning from what they have to say." ๐ฅฐ @BridgesRural
Thank you Dr.@DrMattNewlin for all you do for rural and #FirstGen learners. And extra thanks for elevating their voices and experiences in the @rcsepod podcast.
Happy #FirstGen College Celebration Day! I am so proud to work in a space that is dedicated to uplifting and celebrating other FG students and professionals. #CelebrateFirstGen#FirstGenProud
A great piece by @eddesignlab Designer in Residence. Our #BRIDGESRural teams continue to explore these areas of change, starting with the application of the design mindset. Mindset shift #1- get comfortable with being uncomfortable. https://t.co/EkbyUuEFPV

It's gallery day in Idaho! Our #BRIDGESrural CEI team is leading the gallery open house in Driggs, ID today and tomorrow. Through this process they are hoping to learn more about training needs in the local community, as well as future opportunities for placed based learners.
Such an amazing time in Maine with this wonderful group of people. I cannot wait to continue to learn from these leaders and teams as we get closer to pilot implementation in January 2022.
Human-centered design has really allowed our institution to step back, take some time, and trust the process, as well as get feedback from all stakeholders, including our students, as we make decisions on our pilot moving forward. https://t.co/82ica5sHDw
