The problem with education isn’t what we teach—it’s what we ignore just because it isn’t on a standardized test: creativity, leadership, critical thinking, resilience, problem-solving, communication—everything that actually helps students succeed in life.

Agreed. When students know they matter to their teacher they are open to news ideas and are not afraid to ask questions. When students know they matter they will come to class and do try harder. This should be one of the first things taught around managing a classroom.
