BREAKING: Donald Trump loudly announces that he'll gladly go to jail for his repeated gag order violations after Judge Juan Merchan gives him a final warning to stop.

This is shockingly stupid even by MAGA standards...

"This judge has given me a gag order and said you’ll go to jail if you violate it," Trump said to reporters after court adjourned for the day. "And frankly, you know what, our Constitution is much more important than jail. It’s not even close. I’ll do that sacrifice any day."

"But what’s happening here is a disgrace, and the appellate courts ought to get involved," he added.

Earlier today, Judge Merchan warned Trump that continued violations of the gag order in his hush money trial could result in jail time. Merchan said that the "last thing I want to do is put you in jail" but "at the end of the day, I have a job to do."

"Your continued violations constitute a direct attack on the rule of law," he added.

It's time to bring the hammer down. If Trump wants jail time, Merchan should oblige him.
