The far greater meaning of the phrase is that Jesus was expressing the fulfillment of the prophecy in Psalm 22.

He is quoting the first line from Psalm 22, which was a prophetic look at the Suffering Servant, written by King David long before the Messiah fulfilled it. I encourage you to read it and understand that Jesus was telling people who he was.

The kids are more than alright, they're extraordinary. And, incredibly, the bus driver has made a 100% full recovery.

Last Wednesday, on a seemingly ordinary day in Mississippi, a school bus driver suffered a severe asthma attack. She blacked out behind the wheel. The bus loaded with 40 children, was hurtling down a busy four-lane highway. Disaster felt inevitable.

But instead of chaos, these kids showed grit and unshakable courage. Five middle schoolers immediately sprang into action in a scene straight out of an edge-of-your-seat thriller.

A 12-year-old seized the wheel, steering the bus away from catastrophe. Another kid slammed on the air brakes, grinding the bus to a halt in the median, averting disaster. One student dialed 911 with trembling fingers but an unshakable resolve. Meanwhile, another hero-in-training searched for the driver’s nebulizer and personally administered her life-saving medication.

None of these kids waited for an adult to save the day. They became the adults right then, right there.

@alexanderkhara @HeimishCon Yes, it matters because his ethnicity and geneology were a part of God’s plan for redemption from the Garden. Affirmed through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David. That lineage is a requirement for Jesus to be the Messiah. Otherwise, he doesn’t fulfill the prophesies.

From the left: James Talarico-style "progressive Christianity" — a rainbow-wrapped heresy that calls Jesus non-binary, claims God blesses abortion, insists trans kids are God's design, and brands biblical truth as "hate." It's the progressive gospel dressed in pride flags, twisting Scripture to fit modern ideology. Pure demonic deception.

From the right (even within "conservative" circles): The Tucker Carlson / Candace Owens poison — Nazi-tinged antisemitism on steroids. It revives replacement theology, strips God's eternal covenant from the Jewish people, demonizes Christian Zionists as "evil" or "un-Christian," and erases the Jewish roots of our faith. Historically, the vast majority of faithful Christians have stood with Israel as God's chosen — this is a direct assault on that truth.

Both are heresies. Both are demonic. Both aim to destroy the true Church from within and without.

One side sells a fake "inclusive" Jesus who affirms sin.
The other sells a fake "Christian" nationalism that revives ancient Jew-hatred.

We must stand aggressively against BOTH. Contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3). No compromise. No silence.

The gates of hell will not prevail — but only if we fight on the biblical line, not the world's twisted versions.

The term "theological liberalism" is thrown around a lot.
When push comes to shove though, it still boils down to Richard Niebuhr's summation of what theological liberalism truly is: "A God without wrath brought men without sin into a kingdom without judgment through the ministrations of a Christ without a cross" (Kingdom of God in America, 193).

Liberal/progressive Christianity is more than that but it is no less than that, and it will always come down to it. Niebuhr's words 89 years ago are just as applicable in 1937 as they are today.

I’m just trying to keep the Candace/Tucker storyline straight here. Israel can’t have any prophetic significance because it’s a secular, godless state and the people there aren’t even real Jews anyway — they’re Turkic Khazar impostors. But at the same time Israel is masterminding a global religious war so they can rebuild the Third Jewish Temple. So the working theory is that a nation of secular atheist Turks are masterminding the restoration of the ancient Jewish priesthood and Temple system, which requires verified Jewish lineage to function. These sneaky Turks!
