@carmen_levick Oh Carmen, isn't it lovely, I was there a lifetime ago and I have never stopped dreaming about it. Beautiful sand, beautiful water. I love Greece. Hope you're doing well and you and yours are healthy and happy. x
@amy_ryall There are little glimmers of it here in Leeds. and we Brits know that's probably all we're going to get . Hope you make the most of the postage stamp sized patches of blue sky in the following days.
@AllisonPearson It's the Tory underfunding not the imigrants. Ask Sajid Javid for some money for the NHS, him and all his rich Tory mates who run the country at the moment. Not those poor people fleeing war, torture and yes, even economic hardship.
@jeremycorbyn I'm so upset and disgusted at Starmer's treatment of you Mr Corbyn. It's shaking my faith in voting Labour, but who will I give my vote to now? Who will stand for the things I believe in? I don't live in Islington and I can't stand the idea of 5 more Tory years. What to do?
For the first time I'm considering not voting Labour. Corbyn, demonised by some Labour members, could have alleviated the current atrocious state of public services both for the workers (pay & conditions) and for those in receipt of services. I'm asking who does Labour serve?
@PippaCrerar I have voted Labour since 1983. I understand Labour has to move to the centre to win power but this decision to ban Corbyn from standing as a candidate is shaking my faith in Labour as a broad church. The disastrous showing in the last election was more about Brexit than Corbyn.
Well done to Michael Rosen who has done his research to prove that Lineker's claim that the language used to discuss small boat immigration/immigrants is 'NOT DISSIMILAR' to that used in 1930s Germany. The power of accurate reading and research. Thank you @MichaelRosenYes
🎙️NEW podcast episode🎙️Age Panic! on Wrinkle Radio. We can’t fight the forces that make us fear aging 'til we take a closer look. We talk about long-term care, the silver tsunami, stories that divide generations, & how it's not your fault if you don't “age well.” @ACT_Concordia
@BBCWomansHour being successful at school and being the first to go to university was life changing and I wouldn’t have it any other way but going to a university in the south did divide me from my lower middle class Northern family.
@Stuzipants How about a new 'Levelling Up' Northern Cities Line that would cut the journey times between Hull and Liverpool, calling at Leeds and Manchester, which currently stands at between 3 hours 8 mins and 3 hours 25 minutes? This covering a distance of 111 miles.
