@aWillMscream Which is why long haul focus that doesn't get trapped behind the End Capitalism wall is important. Programs like patreon and local government art programs are things people have access to to help Artists now. Focusing spending $ they don't have for commissions isn't achievable.

@aWillMscream But ripping on a waitress who wanted to make her idea of her Warrior character for her Monday night game because she can't afford to buy art but had time to express herself with a tool doesn't help an artist. It's just someone feeling superior.

@aWillMscream It's fine to encourage people to buy commissions if and when they are able. It's good to encourage people to star and invest $20 a month in various patreons for artists. All of those are constructive ways to help artists thrive now and in the future.

@aWillMscream People who can't afford commission are already not buying commissions. There is no loss there for you or your partner. Telling those people they also can't access free tools is classest. Let poor people have art and if you want to pontificate on the rich then go for it.

@aWillMscream We have a responsibility to expect real results in trying to help people, especially if they require long term solutions. People feel to good from the momentary high point that helps no one and loose focus for the long haul.

@aWillMscream It's here. Pandora opened the box long ago.( It still can't make a human hand very well.) We help artists adapt, we support them in real ways now rather than pontificating on the backs of other less affluent or outright poor peoples decisions - or Artists are screwed.
