He impacted the lives of many, and his legacy will live through them and the work of Peace Dialogue. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, colleagues, and all who mourn his loss.
We want to express our deep condolences for the passing of Edgar Khachatryan, founder and director of the "Peace Dialogue" NGO. Edgar was a person deeply committed to the peaceful development of Armenia and the Caucasus, and his absence will be felt throughout the region.
He challenges idealised notions of peace and introduces concepts such as “violence in absentia” and “peace-supporting practices” to show how communities sustain fragile yet meaningful coexistence through everyday norms and relationships.

After months of collecting, listening, and remembering, we are opening our digital doors.
On December 20th, the Cabinet of Nostalgia website goes live with the first submitted stories and memories from our Open Call. The archive will continue to grow.
The dialogue is held in German language, but subtitles in English and Russian are available, and Armenian, Azerbaijani and Spanish will be available soon.
Silvina Der-Meguerditchian and Fidan Akhundova are two artists who live in Berlin, in neighboring districts. Their artistic work is wide-ranging, yet often engages with their identities as Armenian and Azerbaijani, and with the conflicts of the region.
In this dialogue, they meet for the first time and speak openly about their experiences, their perceptions of the conflict, their hopes, and the power of art and artists as a bridge between cultures, enabling connections where politics often fall short.

💫 Мы смеёмся над одним и тем же, увлекаемся похожим и понимаем друг друга - несмотря на нацию. Согласны?
💫 We laugh at the same things, share the same passions, and understand each other - beyond national borders. Agree?
