Yesterday my boiler packed up. Can't get anyone to come and look at it until tomorrow Monday. So my house is an ice box.
So for 2 days at least I'm experiencing what it's like to be a pensioner without heating. I can tell you it's actually physically painful.
I am lucky that it's only temporary and I have a wood/coal fire downstairs and a hot water bottle in bed.

I’m seriously getting really annoyed that I’m having to keep switching the heating off when it’s cold in order to not have a big bill at the end of the month.

It’s not right that we are paying for everyone else’s heating bills including Politicians while going cold ourselves.

A few years ago you’d not think twice about having your heating on all day as the bill wasn’t high then.
