Poverty is deepening.
🔎 Our #UKPoverty2026 report was launched this morning.
People in very deep poverty now make up the biggest group of people in poverty, at 6.8 million people.
This is unacceptable for the fifth richest country in the world, and it has consequences.
🚨 JUST IN: tens of thousands of people will need to turn to a food bank for the very first time this winter.
We expect to provide an emergency food parcel EVERY 10 SECONDS.
Of course the real threat isn't Asylum Seekers in Dinghies.

Right to trial, right to healthcare, right to sick pay, right to holiday pay, right not be discriminated against.
They can make so much profit

The new stats highlight that scrapping the two-child limit is one of the most effective ways to reduce the preventable injustice of child poverty.
If the UK Government are to fulfil their ambition of reducing child poverty, this is the most urgent action they can and must take.

He wrote and sang the songs that told the world who we are, our hopes, fears and dreams - he was one of our own. For Irish emigrants everywhere Shane was our poet and scribe. We will never forget him or his legacy.
