@cLiMaT3AlaRmIsM@MuhlbeierRobert Wouldn’t that be nice. My husband paid for an MRI in 2020 for some debilitating shoulder pain - discovered a solid tumour in his spinal cord. No refund but he does get *free yearly scans, had *free removal surgery, *free 3 month hospital stay, and *free radiation.
@PfParks My mom had a stroke in February and was one of 14 hallway patients at FMC for HOURS before being seen by the ED MD- it was chaos. CT 6 hour wait MRI 32 hour wait, bed on unit 75 hours. SHC has room to get patients waiting for IP beds moved along if only 4 funding & a plan
@calmdownbecky@sammideedub I’m 25 months into my one year wait. Gyne office update 3 weeks ago that I should be scheduled in the summer - they’re just waiting for OR times. Fingers crossed for everyone. So distressing.
@siriusxmcanada your representative cancelled the wrong vehicle yesterday when we called to transfer service. I have been trying since yesterday afternoon to contact you but your phones won’t let a call go through. Might as well cancel it all with this level of service.
Breaking: Jane Goodall, the English primatologist and anthropologist who was considered a foremost expert on chimpanzees, has died at age 91. https://t.co/SiHKaOX38n
@PfParks The arrival via ambulance or no ambulance for a transfer from one facility to another is captured when the visit is coded. The reasons would have to be investigated if looking to correlate the data. I see this often when coding ambulatory transfer visits.
⚠️TYLENOL & AUTISM—RFK Jr and Trump are wrong—the largest & best study in the world in 2.5 MILLION KIDS—found no increased autism risk with acetaminophen (aka paracetamol, Tylenol) use by the mother during pregnancy. A crude unadjusted analysis found only a preliminary 5% risk, but once you adjust for family by matching using sibling controls (who didn’t get autism), the even tiny 5% risk vaporizes to 0% 📉. (Fun fact: I used to do drug safety epidemiology and have been whistleblower against big pharma when their drugs were dangerous—so I know a few things about drug safety data). Thread 🧵.
@calmdownbecky I was consented for a hysterectomy February 2024 - told it was about a year wait with my OB/GYNE - followed up this February and the wait has doubled to 2 years due to OR cancellations, etc. Hoping for December. Adenomyosis is awful. UCP is worse.
