Adding new curricula & strategies won't help us improve student achievement if it comes at the expense of teacher wellbeing.

"In education not enough stress is laid upon the need for courage in the character. We must learn to endure. And the only way to learn is by enduring. In courage one sees the brilliant triumph of the soul over the flesh." Gyanamata
Thank you all for a timely and uplifting chat. You're all so inspiring. We're brimming with admiration for the way that you are all continuing to learn and carry your communities through these moments. This journey and its future outcome will be ours, together. #MEMSPAchat
A8) We need leaders to be bold, authentic, and pragmatic. Stable. Honest. Leaders that demonstrate accountability and have skin in the game. To know that they care and that they care for the right reasons. That they know the 'why?' and can support the 'how?'. #MEMSPAchat
A7) Low self-efficacy can hold us in a loop that prevents us from effective action. Ask ourselves, 'What are the daily reachable goals that can we use to build our self-beliefs and efficacy?'. Make those goals visible with the bite-sized recourse to achieve them. #MEMSPAchat
A6) Stand back and take an inventory of your experience. Turn down the noise. Remove anticipatory anxiety by focusing on the moment right now. Take one day at a time. Take action. Stay positive. Minimize risk. Trust in our ability to work through this. #MEMSPAchat
A5) Another way, is to imagine what the lives of those involved in our personal life would be like if we were less affected by fear. How does removing our own guard rails affect, lift, and empower those around us? Our fears impact the lives of those around us. #MEMSPAchat
A4) Great question. Another way of envisioning this, is where will our learners be if we are uninhibited by fear? What effect do our fears have upon the future lives of our students? #MEMSPAchat
A3) Fear, when harnessed, can mobilize us to address the issues that confront us. Fear can call out our greatest priorities. Sometimes we need to be attentive to what is beneath it/them. #MEMSPAchat
A2) We fear for those that are in the welfare. The future of the lives we impact. Also, own welfare and those involved in their personal life. Right now, it seems we fear uncertainty in multiple dimensions of our life. #MEMSPAchat
