Sabrina is also a very successful actress, having made her acting debut in 2011 on the crime drama series 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' (2011). Sabrina has actively supported several charities during her career. In 2016, she became an ambassador for the Ryan Seacrest Foundation and visited children's hospitals across the country. That same year, for the release of her single "Smoke and Fire", she donated proceeds from her merchandise to the American Red Cross's 2Steps2Minutes campaign which brought awareness to fire safety. In 2017, she partnered with the DoSomething's Love Letters Challenge, aimed to combat isolation for senior citizens. Sabrina is a big supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and in 2018, she participated in writing a love letter to the community for Billboard. In April 2020, she appeared in a charity version of "If the World Was Ending", which supported Doctors Without Borders during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2024, Sabrina partnered with the nonprofit PLUS1 on her Short n' Sweet Tour, and launched the Sabrina Carpenter Fund, donating $1 per ticket from her Short n’ Sweet tour, raising over $1 million for mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal welfare. In 2024, Sabrina donated 50% of All profits from her espresso-flavored ice cream collaboration with Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to the Ali Forney Center, the largest US nonprofit organization which helps homeless LGBTQ+ youth! The Sabrina Carpenter Fund has now raised over $1.5 million total and continues to support mental health (e.g. the Jed Foundation & Papyrus UK, LGBTQ+ rights (the Transgender Law Center & LGBT National Help Center), and animal welfare (the Best Friends Animal Society) through ongoing tour donations and partnerships.
