@JonKrawczynski Jon, the KAT deal was all about saving money. Did Arod and Lore see what happened in the playoffs and say they had to make a couple big moves to win it all, no matter the financial costs?
@PaulCharchian Charch, Naz played no defense in the playoffs and was a liability. I’m sure Finchy, Connelly, Ant all saw his defense in the playoffs. There’s also another move coming for a quality PF.
@Gaardsy Would we have 2 of the top 5 or 6 players in the league if we made the trade? The last 2 combos were LeBron and Wade and Shaq and Kobe. Both won championships. If you have 2 dominant players you can win a ship.
@Gaardsy They still called one of the worst fouls I have ever seen when SGA jumped to the side 2 feet into an airborne defender last night. Fix, allowing superstars to jump into defenders for fouls.
@JonKrawczynski Wemby’s health will always je the question mark. He’s missed 65 games in 3 years. If he’s out in the playoffs going forward, they are done.
@ChadHartmanShow Too bad Randle is not a number 2 or 3 guy on a playoff team. He struggled to get his shot off against taller and more athletic bigs and can’t handle the ball with heavy pressure.
@JonKrawczynski He’s the best defensive player in the league by a large margin. Top 3 to 5 offensive player. Top 2 rebounder in the league. If he puts on 20 to 30 lbs he will be unstoppable.
@RussoHockey The NHL really needs to fix the injury report. The NFL has rules for disclosing specific injuries. Lower body or upper body injury isn’t good enough. The NHL has gambling company sponsors. If you have a broken foot or torn ACL it should be disclosed. This needs to be fixed.
@tlschwerz They changed the rules when James Harden was doing this 10 years ago. Need to call an offensive foul when an offensive player jumps into the defender and a technical for flopping. That’s the only way to stop foul baiting and flopping.
@RussoHockey@JoeSmithNHL@nytimes They need to work on their defensive scheme and defensive play. Until, the team does that, it won’t matter who is in goal.
@SpursReporter Each round you advance, refs swallow their whistle more and the players play harder on defense as a whole. It’s a different game than the regular season and round 1.
@RussoHockey When you replace Ek and Brodin with Yurov and Hunt you are in big trouble defensively. There were so many other defensive breakdowns by other players, it was just a terrible defensive game.
@johnkriesel That might be the worst defensive effort I’ve ever seen in an NHL hockey game. I saw an 80’s game against Edmonton and Gretzky in the regular season and they destroyed us. Just about every player got beat multiple times.
@JonKrawczynski He’s not going to be 100% the rest of the playoffs and not many players are with an 82 game schedule. Let’s see how he plays and take it from there. He’s a competitor and knows his body.
@JonKrawczynski The defensive intensity changed immensely and the way refs call fouls changes. All around the league, teams are scoring less in the playoffs than in the regular season. We saw in this series that good defense beats good offense more often than not.
