@Codie_Sanchez It depends. Sometimes, people say it because they envy that person's success. Other times, it's because the signs of burnout are evident to everyone but the person working long hours.
I wish I was making this up. In the middle of our dinner rush, a 60-year-old woman walked into the kitchen and demanded to know why her food was taking so long.

@Carolinerebisz One of my books received a 2-star, no comment rating the other day. I was irked for 5 minutes. I texted my co-author about it. Then I moved on with my day. I focus more on the positive reviews and comments received.
The problem with all students, he said, is that they inevitably stop somewhere. They hear an idea and they hold on to it until it becomes dead; they want to flatter themselves that they know the truth. But true Zen never stops, never congeals into such truths.
