So whether your capacity is overseeing the flock or serving the flock - fidelity in marriage is a must.

There are qualifications - once those are transgressed against, that person then becomes disqualified.

Him employing masculine identifiers doesn’t mean he’s assigning a gender to himself.

In Hebrew “Spirit” is feminine and not neuter.

This requires a more nuanced explanation than simply “God is masculine.”

God did not repeat “I Am” or “ego eimi” as his name to Moses.

He told Moses “He Who Is,” that is, “ho on” was his name to Moses.

The ONLY time God’s actual name, “He Who Is,” is said in the New Testament is in the book of Revelation.

And it’s mistakenly said to be Christ.

In Revelation 6:16, 17 the Father (“him who is seated on the throne”) and Son (“the Lamb”) are solely depicted as having a “day of their wrath.”

As the “3rd person of the Trinity,” why is the Holy Spirit absent here - let alone in much of this book?

Words were used carefully to not waste either resource. Something else is being communicated here.

God in Greek is Theos which is also used for YHWH in the Septuagint.

Satan is YHWH.

According to 1 Corinthians 8:6 this means there are many YHWHs and many Jesus’s.

It applied to an actual child born into them in that present day and not a far-off savior.

The same as with the “Emmanuel” prophecy.

If it doesn’t make the child born then God, it doesn’t make Jesus God either.
