in theory lewis’ medium-soft strategy would have been faster as he could have gone longer and the mediums, the softs pit and he gets clean air and gets some push laps in, he then pits, has a lower fuel load on faster tyres and we saw, OVERTAKING WASNT IMPOSSIBLE

even if the driver says “i want to stay out” the strategists and engineers HAVE THE LAST CALL, we’ve seen bono and mercedes overrule lewis’ calls so many times, THEY HAVE MORE INFORMATION
so yes lewis is partially to blame and i don’t even know if it was lewis who decided to stay out or ferrari’s choice not to pit him but either way they are a TEAM and the team in the end has a bigger picture and should know better
