@BoringBiz_ I got news for you, it's just as easy today *for that profile of person*
If you're in Skull and Bones, you'll land a top entry level job without much effort too.
The unpaid internship is coming back.
In a world where supply and demand rule, and entry level jobs are scarce, it seems obvious that more and more people will accept a role "for the experience."
Not unlike artists who are paid "in exposure."
@Bloke_Baz You become ashamed of yourself because you know what you could have accomplished instead.
You can't fool your body and mind - they know what hard work feels like.
That said. It's very likely the W2 job where you do the least is the one that pays you the most.
@aussieflya@GoodGuyGuaranty They "gentrified" the whole industry when they legalized it.
Before my time, but I imagine there was something charming about needing a "guy" and doing the purchase in secret.
@retfratstar@varunram I personally know guys who fall into one of a couple buckets.
PE "biz dev" types - shocking portion of their job is to get wined and dined by bankers.
IB MDs at low-stakes firms - these guys have good relationships and get small pieces of big action - enough to hit rev targets
