“I make art as a way to heal and offer back to my community some gifts for resilience." See how the Abstract Diagrams series by internet artist @britchida puts onto paper the intangible experiences that come with being human.

I was just talking with a friend I’ve known for years about things I’ve been learning and we were cracking up at how many times I’ve learned this before.
I’m writing about my approach to making colors that work well together, dealing with “mud,” and developing your own sense of personal color palette in a way that feels natural. https://t.co/TyjYNAVlnZ
It is okay to love this life
It is not naive or wasteful,
It is not unserious or selfish,
It is not apolitical or shameful
It is not too much
Or out of place,
Even in this world
Even now.
I have an email newsletter called Algorithm Free Art. I send out my new art and their captions/reflections, collated together nicely along with additional stories, ideas and sometimes email-friend-only shop codes. It’s all free.
You can sign up on my website (link in bio).
Ever since I thought this phrase last night, I have felt better
Image Description: a solid beige circle with the words “I will not give what I do not have” written around its border.
Looking for hope to hold back the heavy doom (that blade of grass that breaks through the concrete). So I’m seeing the hummingbirds that are full of their own life with their tiny nest nearby, and thinking of a future where things are different and we’re all still here.
Do you remember when we met
And I was ablaze with myself
with nothing to hide
And how over the years I tucked myself
Smaller and smaller into that snapshot of a person
I once told you I was
And how at some point
the truths became memories
became lies?
