One of the first WHL coaches I had the pleasure to get to know. Punch was a gem. Queens Park Arena was his office. Together they created so many New West Bruin memories.

The Western Hockey League is mourning the passing of Ernie 'Punch' McLean, five-time WHL Champion and longtime coach of the New Westminster Bruins.

McLean passed away Friday at the age of 93.
