Some songs are immortal.
For U2 fans, that song is “Bad.”
In the late 80s, U2’s energy was off the charts, and this rare footage shows it.
Yes, the song is about heroin addiction [as the new RTÉ documentary Bad: The Song That Saved My Life highlights], but it has deeper roots.
Some histories are incomplete without the Bible:
“But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:4-11 NIV)
On June 23, 2009, Michael Jackson was here rehearsing for This Is It, perfecting every move.
Two days later, June 25, he was gone.
This isn’t just rehearsal footage, it’s one of the last moments we saw him doing what he loved. 💔
We will never see anything like this again in our lifetimes.
If you have a few minutes, watch it. Probably the greatest music video ever made.

This Anzac Day marks the 111th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings. We pause to remember and pay tribute to the service and sacrifices made by Australians: from the first landing in Gallipoli, to the men and women currently serving. #LestWeForget
His soundchecks alone were masterpieces.
