The UK is 76% self-sufficient in indigenous foods, as we can't grow pineapples or avocados. What we should be doing is growing far more fruit, veg & pulses (using agro-ecological methods); and reducing the amount of livestock, & cereals to feed them; and abandon bioenergy crops.
Really disappointing to hear that food and farming will only receive £35m out of £1.1b from the no-brexit deal budgets. Over 30% of food in the UK is imported from the EU, which will have an enormous affect on our future food habits P-B. Read more here: https://t.co/Q5AUznoPVm
