Seeing all these videos for the new White Claw Vodka & people mixing it with club soda saying that you can’t taste the vodka. Guys, I’ve been drinking VODCLAWS for 4 years. I’m telling you 3 of those puppies will get you shmamered for under $15. I should have patented this shit.
Sometimes it’s hard to watch friendships naturally fade away, but at the same time it’s so peaceful. No hard feelings, no beef, just growing in different directions, having different interests, being at different points in life. Sometimes just letting go is good for the soul.
To be honest the thought of actually planning our wedding sounds terrible to me. I have ZERO interest in the stress or money it requires. May end up eloping, just warning you all now. ✌🏼
I work for a company in a department that has the flexibility to work from home literally whenever we need/want to. There is ZERO reason to come into the office when you are coughing up a lung every 2 minutes. STAY HOME.
The song “Knowing You” by Kenny Chesney will always take me back to losing my mom. Leaving the hospital after she was gone this song came on the radio & we saw 2 shooting stars in the sky while it played. God I miss her. I hope you do indeed have a have your toes in the sand mom.
I just thought to myself “I’m turning 27 I should have my life together” & then I realized I’m engaged, I own my own home, I have good friends & I’m doing well in my career. I think sometimes we get so caught up in the “go go go” that we forget how much we’ve already accomplished
Big eye roll every time I hear “the world is becoming so sensitive these days”…wanting change, eliminating racism, etc. isn’t a generation becoming “sensitive” it’s literally basic human rights and decency.
I’m so incredibly jealous of the people that keep saying/posting about things starting to go back to “normal”, mask mandates lifting, concerts being scheduled etc. because for those of us that lost loved ones to Covid, we don’t get that “normal” back.
Every morning when Nikko leaves for work at 4:30am he re-adjusts my blankets to make sure I’m all covered up and cozy and my heart melts into a puddle every single time.
2 months ago I lost my mother & today my last living grandparent passed away. If there’s anything these last few months have taught me it’s to cherish your loved ones. If you’re fortunate enough to have your parents or grandparents in this life with you, don’t take it for granted
I think one of the hardest things for me to wrap my head around is how they say time heals you. Because right now, the longer I go without hearing your voice or seeing your face, just make me miss you more. The concept of missing someone less as time goes on is hard to digest.
Yesterday I told my Dad that Nikko and I were engaged and got to show him mom’s old ring all restored and he goes “oh wow, your mom would definitely be happy, Brit” ❤️
God, I wish she was here
no one talks about how getting ahead can look like staying in on weekends, eating at home, watching movies with your loved one, being bored, staying sober, going on not disturb mode, routine & letting go of the fear of missing out
& Even if it’s a “small” percentage of people dying, I promise you, she wasn’t “no one”. She was a healthcare worker herself, she was a sister, she was a wife, she was a grandma, she was beautiful, & she was my mother. 💜
