Another day in the @NorthPenninesNL - had to pull myself away from photographing those iconic #teesdale white farmhouses and barns of yesterday. So today one for the Intimate Landscapes Collection - “Moorland Mosaic”

Short trip to the North Pennines National Landscape particularly #Teesdale and #Weardale Very windy today with heavy showers and some sunshine. Managed a few shots of those white farmhouses and barns that are a distinctive and memorable element in the landscape of Upper Teesdale.

After 12 hrs of continuous rain and overnight strong winds for now it is fine. No photography today until what I had been hoping for - a sunset to end my photo road trip to Bute, Cowal and Knapdale. This is the view from Port Ban across the Sound of Jura to Islay and Jura.

Final photo for now from the #Cowal Peninsula as I have now moved onto Knapdale.

This is old Castle Lachlan at Lachlan Bay with Loch Fyne in the background. It was the home of the Maclachlans for a 1000 years but was abandoned after the Battle of Culloden in 1746.

Squally showers and sunshine creating plenty of rainbows 🌈 to brighten up the day on the Cowal Peninsula. This is the view across Holy Loch from Hunters Quay to Kilmun.

It’s what you expect on the west coast of Scotland which sometimes makes great conditions for photography.
