@How2Drink If she read all of them, then I think that's just a personal library lol. If she bought them just for the sake of having them, then yeah, very specific hoarding. If you're rich enough you get to call it "collecting" instead
@How2Drink @CaKnuckleGuy I'm not gonna lie, I'm getting a giggle out of the whole "secret defininition" thing. It's context and connotation, which are important parts of language and communicating, just like inflection or stress. But they actually kind of are secret definitions attached to words lol.
@mkaiww@hankgreen Really? I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed it. The narrator was Adjoa Andoh, and I thought her voice was very soothing. Just goes to show that everybody experiences things differently lol.
@EliotETC It kind of feels like you're getting too hung up on the direct translation. Direct, word to word translation is not a good way to translate anything. You're told what the direct one is as a way to help you remember, but the concept/context/connotation is more important.
@How2Drink It's hard to fit all your list items and still be relatively affordable. Some have mentioned Temecula. I grew up in that area (and live in Menifee now). There is a very high level of trumpers there. If you go out towards Lake Elsinore it's a little better. Also a little cheaper.
@How2Drink My fiance and I agree, sleeve is better. If you are using your sleeve it keeps it as your problem, tissues everywhere make it everybody else's problem. Obviously using a tissue is supposed to be cleaner, but thats only if you are responsible enough to put it in a trash can.
@Chelsea_Fagan Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda Zero Sugar. Before I tried it the first time I thought it would be weird because it was just too many things in one, but it is absolutely amazing. It's easily my favorite Zero soda
@paytmitch Because people are dying. The ignorance of anti-vaxxers is hurting others. While I will always feel pity and sadness for people being used and misled, I also believe that "any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice".
@Chelsea_Fagan I think of it in terms of "that explains it, but does not excuse it". If your actions are wrong/harmful, but stem from a mental health issue you are struggling with, it isn't "not your fault". There was a cause, but you still need to work towards healing the damage and yourself.
@hankgreen I saw a post once with a similar concept that I enjoy (It was on pinterest so I never looked up the poster, sorry). It said there is no reason to use the terms "house wife" or "house husband" when "house spouse" is simpler, already gender neutral, and - most importantly - rhymes.
@TechConnectify These happen to the other cast members too. Geordi even has to deal with a similar issue of finding the ethical and mentally healthy line between the holodeck and reality when he creates a version of Dr. Brahms, falls in love with the program, and then she later finds it.
