We had a very kind lady offering to drop us yesterday, unfortunately she was going in the opposite direction we wanted to head to so we declined her invite. But its so lovely that local residents around sports complex station notice and were kind to offer help.
Happy 13th Debut Anniversary, BTS!
From those 34 first-day sales to sold-out stadium tours and billions of streams!
On June 13, 2013, seven young trainees took the stage under the name BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan, or Bulletproof Boy Scouts). Few could have predicted that this group, debuting on a struggling independent label, would go on to be one of the most influential and successful musical acts in the world.
Over the next 10 years, BTS broke records, broke down cultural barriers, and redefined what a “K-pop group” could do. They made history as the first Korean act to top the Billboard 200 with more than one album, performed at the United Nations, spoke to world leaders and cultivated a devoted global fan base that transcends language and borders.
Their impact is felt far beyond the world of music. BTS has aided South Korea’s economy with tourism, exports and cultural soft power. They advocated messages of self-love, mental health and social justice, and popularised Korean culture all over the world.
BTS’s journey reminds us that greatness can emerge from the most unexpected of sources. No one could have predicted that these “broke rookies” would become the Biggest Band in the World.
As they celebrate 13 years, ARMY around the world celebrates not just the music but the resilience, growth and unbreakable bond that transformed an underdog story into a global phenomenon. To many, many more years of BTS. 💜
Pete Buttigieg gets asked how a left-leaning person in a deep red county can convince their neighbors that they love America just as much as they do.
His answer: 💯
I desperately wanted the Spurs to win, not just because I'm a die-hard Spurs fan, but also because I REALLY wanted to be able to re-watch this game in peace. What a classic! Amazing game.
