The English mathematician & lay theologian Isaac #Newton died #OTD in 1726/7. GEMMS contains a sermon record for a @ransomcenter MS, written by Newton in the 1670s on 2 Kings 17:15-6 (HRC 130). He resumed his theological studies in his later years. Portrait: Godfrey Kneller, NPG.
