When we pitched the stadium as part of MAPS 4, we promised that bringing OKC its first multipurpose stadium would open up new opportunities. And thanks to subsequent added funding from TIF and the 2025 bond issue, the stadium project is now even better positioned for success. Today, we can announce a major new win.
We welcome the United Football League (UFL) to OKC! Play is slated to begin in 2028 at our new stadium, which will break ground in the next two months.
Much gratitude to the operators of the stadium - Echo Investment Capital, Christian Kanady, Court Jeske and everyone who led this recruitment of professional football to OKC.
@davidfholt Hey Mayor Holt. I'm also a Putnam City North graduate (Class of 2012) and moved to LA right after I graduated. I'm a working Actor (Independent Shakespeare Company) and Arts Administrator (REDCAT-DTLA). I'm just a fellow Panther looking for a ticket vs Clippers tomorrow๐๐พ
Hey @KiDCuDi just know that you don't have to convince anyone of NOTHING. You've saved lives. That's proven. The proof is in the pudding big bro. Music, Fashion, Art, Film, Culinary. Let me know when you wanna do a play Mr. Renaissance. Shakespeare's got a full canon for you.
@CP3 hey bro, idk if you hear this enough but you are one of the reasons OKC is where it's at right now. A lot of people don't understand how miserable natives were before the Hornets came. I was born and raised in OKC and I want to say, Thank you for your energy and effort.
