@odaxelagniacore You should peep David Byrne’s book How Music Works. Really great stuff in there about how different mixing and composition approaches play to the needs of different listening venues (eg, car stereos vs amphitheaters vs headphones vs record rooms vs stadiums)
@franktimez2 Like a lot of people, I do question whether there is anyone who could successfully step into the center of the power vacuum when it comes. Not naïve enough to bet on things improving, but I’m confident it will be fragmentary, stranger, and hopefully less potent.

@itzabunnyisback@sdrx902 It’s been s l o w culturally since the pandemic (really since the 2008 crash) but it was a hotbed for independent music and art not that far back, and remains one of the last bastions for wooden boat work. I like to think it will bounce back before long.

@alittleyareli Never touched one until some unexpected deaths in the fam a couple years ago (affairs not in order means expensive!). Can’t wait to be rid of it
