A pro-Palestinian man allegedly attacked an Israeli reservist in the Philippines — and quickly regretted it.

Israeli reservist Uriah Bromels was traveling in the Philippines when he entered a café to use the restroom. According to Bromels, a patron approached him and asked where he was from. After he replied that he was from Israel, the man began shouting “baby killer” and physically attacked him.

Bromels initially backed away, but when the attacker continued, he restrained him on the floor until the man begged to be released.

Local police later ruled in favor of the Israeli reservist, and the attacker was reportedly ordered to cover Bromels’ hospital expenses for the injuries he sustained.
