Excited for #ABRCMS2024? So are we! Come visit us @ booth 7⃣3⃣0⃣ to learn about paid summer undergraduate research opportunities in neuroscience 🧠 & genomics 🧬at the Center for Human Brain Variation @ the @broadinstitute of MIT & Harvard!
#SummerResearch#ScienceForAll
We were honored to host the undergraduate interns from @MassGenBrigham’s Laboratories for Computational Neuroimaging for a lab tour and explore the #BroadDiscoveryCenter together. We geeked out on 🧠 science and had a panel on how to navigate careers in science. 1/2
Thrilled to see six incredible scientists named as new core institute members at @broadinstitute! Special shoutout to our very own @macosko, co-director of the CHBV! 🌟 Congrats to Gad Getz, @AnnaGreka, Nir Hacohen, @bmneale, and @pardissabeti too! 👏
Six leading scientists and longtime members of the Broad community have been named as new core institute members at Broad: @getz_lab, @AnnaGreka, Nir Hacohen, @macosko, @bmneale, and @pardissabeti Congratulations to all! https://t.co/bYnMpmTrEL
🎉Congratulations to our esteemed neuroanatomist, Chuck Vanderburg, on receiving the 2024 Staff Scientist Distinction Award for Scientific Collaboration! This is yet another testament to his remarkable track record in fostering scientific partnerships. We couldn’t be more proud!
We're thrilled to see CHBV’s @freeseek82 research featured in a @NatureGenet Research Highlight by @SafiaDanovi! Giulio’s paper examines the genetic causes and health implications of mosaic loss of the X chromosome in females. 👏

Today, May 22, is International Day for Biological Diversity! Today is extra special for us- our work is dedicated to expanding the understanding of brain biodiversity, and genetic diversity is a key part of this. Read below to find out more!
Excited to share this discovery: Huntington's disease is a DNA process for almost all of a cell's life. Inherited HD alleles are innocuous, just unstable – CAG repeats slowy expand throughout life, acquiring toxicity only when quite long (>150 CAGs). https://t.co/6wIAZKCWKN
