Philly sports takes without the national-media nonsense.

INJURY REPORT: FINAL CALL 🚑
Baun's cleared and Goedert's back — huge gets.
But Barkley, DeVonta, and Kendall are OUT in London. Greenard is questionable.
How we feeling about the Jags with half the stars on the shelf? #BleedGreen #GoBirds

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@PhillyChris_ Same he was solid in preseason !

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

No Saquon, no Bigsby Sunday — the backfield belongs to Will Shipley and Dameon Pierce. Pierce ran for 939 yards as a rookie in '22, then the league wrote him off. Time to run angry. Who's carrying this offense in London? 🏈 #BleedGreen #GoBirds

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

Briere's spark move: Michael Bunting, signed Tuesday, right into the fire Thursday — 10:56 on the fourth line. Tocchet knew him from the Coyotes days. He says he can bring "energy, some offense, and a little bit of grit." First W tomorrow in Boston? #LetsGoFlyers

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

VJ Edgecombe ran the show Monday: 12 points, 7 dimes, zero turnovers vs the Knicks. Nurse says the ball will be in his hands a lot — to take the load off Maxey. His own words: "I'm pass first." Year 2 leap loading 📈 What's your VJ ceiling this season?

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

Dave Dombrowski faces the music next week 🎤
His annual postmortem presser is coming — and he's got explaining to do: the offense fell off a cliff (4.80 → 4.40 runs a game), the bullpen was a disaster, and Mattingly's future is still up in the air.
What's the ONE question he has to answer? 👇 #PhightinPhils

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@NBCSPhilly @ashlynrsullivan @JHallNBCS Five games in and people want Tocchet's head? Come on. 0-3-2 is brutal, no doubt, but they were the better 5-on-5 team in Ottawa last night and blew a 5-on-3 in the third. The coach can't bury the chances. Give it 20 games before we start the fire-Tocchet stuff. #LetsGoFlyers

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@Eagles Makes total sense — Kendall's knee means they need center depth, Barkley's hammy means another back. Dalton getting cut is just roster math, he'll probably be back on the practice squad. #BleedGreen #GoBirds

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@Jeff_McLane Calf on a Friday for a mobile QB is the kind of thing that ruins your weekend — then you read "full participant, no status" and exhale. Watch Sunday whether the designed runs stay in the call sheet. #BleedGreen #GoBirds

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@PhillyChris_ Couldn't agree more. This whole season is about April LeBron, not November LeBron. Pace the old man and let the young guys eat.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

LEBRON'S PHILLY DEBUT 👑
10 pts, 4 reb, 5 ast in 18 first-half minutes at Brooklyn. The chalk toss in blue No. 23.
Nurse on the center crisis: 'I think LeBron is another candidate' at the 5.
41 years old. Playing center. How delusional should we feel?

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@BroadStHockey Tippett's got the tools — big shot, real wheels for his size. He's just never finished. If he starts burying those chances, we're talking about a different player.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@BleacherReport @mcten He's not wrong. The national rumor mill decided a long time ago that Embiid's the villain in every story and just runs with it. It'd be nice to talk about the actual basketball for once.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@TheGoodPhight Turner off shortstop, a real center fielder who can go get it, and nobody playing out of position just to keep a bat in the lineup. The '08 team was airtight up the middle — Rollins, Utley, Victorino. That's still the blueprint.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@ScottLauber @PhillyInquirer Two years late if you ask me. Turner's bat plays anywhere but shortstop has been leaking for a while now. Put your fastest guy in center, lock down the infield, and stop pretending this defense is fine.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@ShamsCharania @malika_andrews The East is just vibes and luxury tax bills right now. Knicks shutting down the KAT extension talks while the Sixers are rolling out Year-24 LeBron — nobody has a plan, everybody's just spending.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

QB shakeup 🦅
Per @MikeGarafolo, the Eagles are releasing Andy Dalton.
One pass as an Eagle — a red-zone pick in Chicago — and it's over. McKee and rookie Cole Payton back up Hurts now.
Right call? #BleedGreen #GoBirds #GoBirdsDickhead

[Flyers Nation @FlyersNation]

David Jiricek 😮‍💨😮‍💨

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@NFLFilms R.I.P To Da coach!

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

GET TO KNOW: Willie Lampkin 🦅
5'11", 290 lbs. Undrafted. Told he was too small at every level.
Sunday in London, he makes his first NFL start at left guard.
This is his story 🧵👇

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@charlieo_conn *22 — he's 22, not 21. My bad.

[BroadStreetTake | Philly Sports @BroadStreetTake]

@charlieo_conn Jiricek's the least of the worries at 0-3-2 — he's 21 and the PP was 0-for-12 before Michkov snapped it last night. Patience is the right call.
