Want a fun weekend project (and maybe one that brings you closer to logging off of this site)?
I just released a video on using @astrodotbuild 5.0's Server Islands with the π¦ AT Proto API to get your latest Bluesky post onto your site (with caching!)

@chris__sev@videotap__ Sent. The issue was that the platform wanted videos of 3-minutes+ to generate clips... In reality, I don't want to "make a clip" even though that functionality would 100% serve my need if the clip was the full 54 second video with nice captions :D
@chris__sev@videotap__ feature idea:
I really need a place that I can upload a short that I personally create and it makes the nice, highlighted on-screen captions like what Video Tap does for clips
I want to make my own Short, but get that same polish (without the effort :D)
I'm QUITE enjoying it over there... feel like I'm part of a community online again... Logically, it shouldn't feel significantly different, but it feels VERY different.
I'll throw out one of those π¦ to let folks know that I'll be posting there more than here.
It's actually quite lovely currently and has me wanting to post more things than I have here in ages...

@zachleat I think this week's big shift has been super interesting to watch. Obviously, I'm part of the shift (though I've nominally been on π for a while... just not actually active)
π¦ May actually get me to stick... vibes are currently right, Starter Packs helped me too
I recently had the opportunity to play around with @Netlify's Durable Cache primitive. It's a neat abstraction around a few different concepts.
I took the chance to explore what this could mean around unstable or slow APIs. It's pretty easy to set up

11ty is on Wikipedia now, which gives me an excuse to share my favorite fact about Wikipedia:
If you keep clicking the first real link on a Wikipedia page (and click the first one on the next, etc.), every Wikipedia page will eventually lead you to Philosophy
