@SturmDon Great question! I’ve had kids ask to retake a test 4 times to get a perfect score, which results in a lot of extra work for me to give a kid two extra points because they want a perfect score… something about that feels gross to me, so I average the scores as a compromise.

Proof is in the pudding @modernclassproj ! My Superintendent is on board and my admin are hearing about its impact from parents. I have had a few students opt to go to another class but I also have a list of kids who want in.

@modernclassproj do you have recommendations on unit quizzes? Test entire class same day regardless of progress in unit? Trying to figure out assessment integrity issues that arise when Ss test on different days in this format. Thanks!

@NGSSMadeMeDoIt Agreed! I don’t let them take the summative until they have completed all of their practice/ homework. I can justify it because if they haven’t done any practice they won’t do well on the test.
